The Sin Code ReviewI've followed the polygamy controversy and the Warren Jeffs trial for years. Cooper's book weaves a riveting story involving some of the madness of polygamist cults. It's a page turner. Smart, well written, fun to read and full of obscure information on topics ranging from CIA intelligence gathering to nautical navigation. Cooper has a sharp wit and knows how to write dialog. I'm going to read it again. Thumbs up!
The Sin Code Overview1862 Arizona-Utah border: Ten men chisel a tunnel into red rock, deposit a wooden chest and seal the entrance with a huge sandstone slab. More than one hundred years pass and no one knows for certain the location or contents of the chest. Whatever it contains, it's worth dying for. Now a coded letter surfaces. Kurtz is now a burned out ex-con living on a sailboat in LA and reluctantly agrees to help Rachael. Jack and Rachael are pursued by the cult from the Channel Islands off Southern California through Mormon dominated Utah to the Arizona desert as they attempt to break the code- the sin code- and find the chest.
