Confessions of a Conjuror ReviewFirstly it has to be said that this book is clear evidence of the devastating effect that "psychology, misdirection and showmanship" can have on publishers!!!The book is very different from anything that I have ever read. It feels a lot like being able to hear every single thought that pops into his head. As such it should not surprise that is a) very chaotic going off on tangents and tangents of tangents (with multi page footnotes etc) and b) largely very very trivial (several pages on clipping finger and toenails). I guess it gives you a good taste what actually being able to read someone's mind would really be like.
However what this will also give you is a very interesting picture of the real person that is behind the Character he puts on for show. I for one was very surprised to find that somebody so adept a controlling other peoples minds would have such difficulty controlling his own!! But maybe that is why he got into it to start with?!
I find myself compelled to keep reading - but could not say why - Typical!!
