As the description states: "teaches you the fundamental digital imaging techniques" ... "many Photoshop books focus on features, tools, or techniques, this book covers both the basics and delves into specific skills, tricks, and uses" ... "in a friendly style" ... "with a DVD-ROM" (excellent companion to book). In my humble opinion, that is exactly what it delivers. In fact, I was impressed with this book for those beginning in Photoshop as it delivers the key core skills (regardless of software version) needed to develop as a Photoshop buffin, that it is now one of the core books we provide our students at the start of their graphic design course.
